One of the largest freshwater lakes in the known world, Lake Nen is as deep as it is mysterious. Though during the time of the Empire of Nerath the lake was far more populated, this was still largely restricted to its southern shore. The northern shore of Lake Nen forested right to the water’s edge by the brooding darkness of Winterbole Forest. Deep springs and countless streams feed Lake Nen which itself is the headwaters of the mighty Nentir River. Of the many settlements which once flourished upon its shores, only Fastormel and Nenlast remain — with Fastormel being an ensorcelled ruin and Nenlast now a mere fishing village.
